NW Irving Street near the freeway. St. Honoré Boulangerie opened last year a couple of blocks from my house. Their eponymous eclair is worth a trip. Street sign on NW 25th around Marshall. A flowering tree on NW 25th and Quimby. The blossoms are the size of a pinky fingernail. Another tree on NW 25th. Another flowering tree, this one on NW Raleigh.
Little League teams play almost every afternoon across the street from my building. The repurposed Ideal (Odeon?) Theatre on NW Thurman, now a swank jewelry store. Apartment on West Burnside in the sketchy area near Fred Meyer. Crossing the Burnside Bridge on a sunny day. Through the sunroof of my car: the sky above East Burnside near Grand. The Aladdin Theater. Used to be for porn, now it's a concert venue for sensitive singer-songwriter types.
The musical intrument store next to the Aladdin. Shop on East Burnside. My cousin Shawna painting her newly-added bathroom. Shawna's son Thilo. Thilo's elephant-colored donkey. Jill at one of the many parties at her house.
Karrin makes friends with the faux-fur doggy pillows. African violet and its Bali slave-cat in my apartment. NW Thurman, perhaps? Wall in the Pearl near Powell's. Tree around the corner from the previous two walls. The South Park Blocks downtown in full bloom.
